1. AGREEMENT FOR THE GROUP
I am the person who booked this session. By signing, I agree to these terms for myself and accept responsibility for every person in my group, including guests, minors, and pets. Up to 4 people are included. Additional people are $35 each, with a maximum of 10 people total.
2. MINORS
A parent or legal guardian must sign on behalf of any participant under age 16. Parents and guardians are encouraged to attend the session.
3. STUDIO EQUIPMENT & SETUP
SELF. Studios NYC provides the professional camera, lighting, wireless trigger, screen, backdrop, and selected setup. Clients may operate the wireless trigger but may not move, adjust, disconnect, or change camera equipment, lighting, stands, cables, monitors, backdrop systems, or other technical equipment unless staff gives permission. If something needs to be changed, ask a SELF. staff member.
4. DAMAGE, PROPS & CLEANING
I accept financial responsibility for damage caused by me or anyone in my group to studio equipment, cameras, lenses, lights, stands, monitors, remotes, furniture, props, backdrops, or other property. Repair or replacement may be charged at actual cost. Excessive backdrop damage carries a $35 fee. Props and furniture may be moved by the client or with staff assistance and must be returned when finished. Excessive cleaning carries a $50 fee.
5. SESSION TIME, LATE ARRIVAL & OVERTIME
My session begins and ends at the time reserved. Late arrival does not extend the session. Outfit changes, prop changes, and client-requested adjustments occur within the reserved session time. I agree to leave the shooting area when my session ends. Any approved overtime or additional time may result in additional charges.
6. PHOTOS, GALLERY & PRINTS
I keep all unedited photos taken during my session. My private gallery will be delivered by email within 24 hours and will remain available for 3 months. I am responsible for downloading and backing up my images before the gallery expires. After 3 months, SELF. Studios NYC has no obligation to store, recover, or replace the images. The session includes 2 complimentary 5x7 prints. Professional retouching is available for $25 per image with a typical 3-5 business day turnaround.
7. CLIENT-CONTROLLED RESULTS
SELF. Studios NYC provides professional equipment, lighting, and the prepared setup. I control the timing of each photograph, posing, expressions, wardrobe, movement, and composition. I understand SELF. Studios NYC cannot guarantee a specific pose, expression, composition, number of usable photographs, or creative result.
8. SAFETY & LIABILITY
I understand that studio photography involves furniture, props, cables, stands, lighting equipment, wardrobe changes, footwear, posing, and movement. I agree to use reasonable care and follow staff instructions. To the fullest extent permitted by law, I accept the ordinary risks of participating and release SELF. Studios NYC from claims arising from my own actions, misuse of equipment, unsafe conduct, or the actions of members of my group, except where liability cannot legally be waived.
9. PETS
Pets are allowed but must remain supervised and leashed or secured when not being photographed. I accept responsibility for cleanup, injuries, accidents, or property damage caused by any pet in my group.
10. FOOD, DRINKS & ALCOHOL
Food, drinks, and alcohol are permitted only in designated areas unless staff approves otherwise. They must be kept away from photography equipment and shooting areas. I am responsible for my group's conduct and cleanup. Alcohol may not be used in a way that creates unsafe, disruptive, or destructive behavior.
11. PROHIBITED & RESTRICTED ITEMS
Smoking and vaping, candles or other open flames, glitter, and confetti are prohibited. Paint and body oil require staff approval before use. Any activity or material that may damage the studio or create an unsafe condition may be refused.
12. CONDUCT & RIGHT TO END SESSION
SELF. Studios NYC may immediately stop or end a session for unsafe, threatening, destructive, illegal, excessively disruptive, or inappropriate behavior. A session ended for these reasons is not eligible for a refund.
13. PRIVACY
The changing area is strictly private and has no surveillance. SELF. staff may access session images only as reasonably needed for gallery delivery, printing, retouching, customer service, or technical troubleshooting. Marketing use is governed only by the optional release below.
14. PAYMENT, CANCELLATION & RESCHEDULING
SELF. sessions are paid in full when booked. With at least 24 hours' notice, the session payment may be transferred to a new available date under the SELF. rescheduling policy. Cancellations, no-shows, and changes made with less than 24 hours' notice forfeit the payment. Signing this agreement does not create an additional payment obligation except for selected add-ons, additional guests, approved overtime, cleaning fees, damage, or other charges described in this agreement.
15. OPTIONAL PHOTO / VIDEO RELEASE
This section is optional and is not required to use SELF. Studios NYC. YES - I give SELF. Studios NYC permission to use photographs or video from my session for its website, social media, portfolio, advertising, and promotional materials. NO - Keep my session private. I do not give SELF. Studios NYC permission to use my session photographs or video for marketing.
16. ACKNOWLEDGMENT
I have read this agreement, understand it, had the opportunity to ask questions, and agree to follow SELF. Studios NYC rules. I understand that I am signing for myself and accepting responsibility for my group.
